ARE YOU CURIOUS ABOUT LESS MUSCLE FATIGUE WHEN YOU EXERCISE?
The chance to get out into the outdoors on a daily basis has taken on a different meaning. Not only does it do the head a hell of a lot of good, the benefits of circulating my blood, filling it with bush filtered oxygen is an ionising loveliness. It’s my freedom, creative-thinking space and helps me manage my frustration with being in one place and not being able to hit the road in my 4WD.
So, with lockdown forcing me to exercise locally, I am lucky to report I live near a tract of bushland which makes for a good interval training course. There are lots of hills, stone steps, straight paths and downward slopes. The potential for delayed onset muscle strain (DOMS) is 100%. As my body over the past three weeks has become fitter and accustomed to the rigours of bushwalking, in the first week the muscle fatigue did kick in. So, I increased my daily dose post-workout and I found with EmpowerC60 my post walk recovery is very good. I have little soreness and increased strength.
To prove to myself this was in fact the case, I ran a little experiment on how effective C60 is on muscle recovery.
HOW EFFECTIVE is C60 ON MUSCLE RECOVERY?
On a day where a 7km bushwalk turned into a 14km (sorry Dad, I can’t pick you up) I knew my legs would be hurting as I climbed up the Lorna Pass walk to get home. Lorna Pass is a steep rocky trail built by the convicts and hand cut into the sandstone escarpment. It’s part of Lane Cove National Park and that punch up to the top of the hill is steep, rough and takes the wind out of the best of them.
It is very unusual to see anyone running up it, perhaps only the odd wallaby. So after my walk, I had a half teaspoon dose of EmpowerC60 to help me recover. And I woke up feeling really, really well the next day.
LET’S FAST FORWARD A COUPLE OF DAYS
My wife and I tackled a walk that is reasonably flat, runs through beautiful bush and the track itself is a pretty easy going 4 kilometre return walk. Given the trail and walk wasn’t that taxing I did not have any additional EmpowerC60 that day (apart from my usual daily morning teaspoon). The next day, I was sore as heck! And tired too! My body just didn’t bounce back as I had hoped or experienced a few days earlier.
By now I was a bit intrigued. Could EmpowerC60 hold the muscle recovery key? There was only one thing to do. Strap on the hiking boots and tackle another walk.
THIS TIME IT WAS THE MIGHTY BLUE GUM WALK
It’s an incredible walk. Despite being on the doorstep of Hornsby, a few steps into the walk and you are on an adventure. The dense stands of Blue Gums make way for creek crossings, rock scrambles, steep climbs and vistas over what looks like virgin bush. The final descent from the escarpment is through a fern forest.
All this within a 4.5 kilometre walk! As the team from Walk My World say, it is one of their favourite Sydney walks (and they’ve done a few too!).
So after an endorphin overload it was home time and I continued my muscle recovery experiment. Before bed, I took a half a teaspoon of EmpowerC60.
NOW, I THOUGHT THAT THERE WOULD BE SOME MUSCLE SORENESS THE NEXT DAY.
As I write this it’s day two since the Blue Gum trail walk. So, how are my legs? Totally fine. Yes, I mean totally fine. No muscle soreness and energy levels are pinging throughout the day. Even a late afternoon 3.5km scramble through bush near my home was done with absolutely no muscle fatigue to report.
Ok, I know everyone is different. I’m just calling out my own experiences here.
C60 is a naturally occurring antioxidant and is the most powerful antioxidant known.
There are many benefits from a teaspoon a day of Empower C60. I’ve found increased energy, I feel more mentally alert, sleep deeper than ever and muscle soreness from exercise is minimised. These are benefits that are making a difference in my life.
Are you curious about having more energy and feeling less taxed from exercise? If you do, consider EmpowerC60. It’s nature’s own little energiser that gives me vigour, more vitality and energy.
Now the next bush walk challenge…The Great North Walk? Well bits of it, until lockdown eases. The Jerusalem Trail in Tasmania? The Northern Territory’s 240k Larapinta Trail? I’ll take either one any time soon thank you, but rest assured whatever the walk entails, my recovery will always involve EmpowerC60.
